Software Development Engineer In Test

SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER IN TEST (SDET), AI INDUSTRY / BICESTER (OXFORDSHIRE) / UP TO £45,000 + BENEFITS

Who we are…

We’re a small friendly team that is building for and supporting the future of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High performance Computing (HPC). We ensure the robustness of our existing offerings as well as constantly adopting the newest and latest technologies to be used in the most innovative and productive ways. Our products include Service Based offerings as well as online freely available open source toolsets.

As a member of the development team, you will work closely with us and collaborate with colleagues across the organisation as well as with the open-source community to invent and apply the best solutions for the various testing challenges.

Your work will give you opportunities to work with many different technologies, expose you to multiple end-users across multiple market sectors as well as allowing you to build your reputation in the wider HPC and open-source community.

  • Excellent pay (£35,000 – £45,000, dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities of the Software Development Engineer:

  • Monitoring and reporting on the regular toolchain builds.
  • Investigating build failures and working with Engineering and Development teams to resolve the issues.
  • Designing and implementing test automation.
  • Leading quality and test initiatives within our team
  • Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship.
  • Have full freedom to work directly with product managers, other developers and customers as required to define delivery phases of exciting new and existing projects.
  • Define project activities and sub-activities; produce documentation to be used as the basis for managing the project implementation.
  • Take ownership of projects, overseeing and engaging in development efforts along with management of development processes.
  • Day-to-day investigation of new technologies to ensure we are using the best tools for the job.
  • Be exposed to large-scale computer systems and supercomputers, as well as emerging technologies such as public and private IaaS.

Skills & Experience:

  • Full stack software development experience
  • Experience in Python, Ruby, Bash scripting / programming.
  • Experience in Linux software development environment.
  • Experience improving, testing, delivering, and maintaining production quality software.
  • Experience in using the test frameworks.
  • Able to put pen to paper and create technical writing and documentation in an interesting and engaging way.
  • Solving problems; you understand that most business problems can be solved in numerous ways.

What would make you ideally suited..

  • Experience in developing or an understanding of AI & HPC workflows
  • Experience in cloud technologies, Openstack, AWS, Azure
  • Experience in application / Workflow containerization
  • Experience with Linux OS deployment / Image building / Openstack Deployment
  • You can demonstrate an open-source background, e.g. GitHub project contributions, personal projects, etc.
  • You’re a fast mover and have a strong drive to progress further with their career in a hands-on highly challenging role.

Graduate Devops Engineer

Location: BICESTER (OXFORDSHIRE)

Salary: £25,000 - £32,000 + BENEFITS

Develop UNIX administration and programming skills, assisting with the creation and improvement of software platform tools and developing content for our HPC environment product lines.

Work on live supercomputer systems throughout the UK and Europe. Research, design and implement tools, scripts and processes while developing and integrating with our existing software products and platforms. Work on our key software products managing internal processes, systems and functions.

No prior knowledge of HPC required.

Graduate Software Developer

Location: BICESTER (OXFORDSHIRE)

Salary: £25,000 - £32,000 + BENEFITS

Develop your programming and architectural design skills being responsible for design, implementation, testing and deployment of a wide range of internal tools and customer-facing software products.

Research, design and implement new software products, making use of cutting-edge software technologies and methodologies, while developing and integrating with our existing range of software products and platforms. A great opportunity to work with both back-end and full-stack application development paradigms.

No prior knowledge of HPC required.

Software Developer (Full Stack)

Location: BICESTER (OXFORDSHIRE)

Salary: Up to £60,000 + BENEFITS

Use your established programming and architectural design skills to design, implement, test and deploy of a wide range of internal tools and customer-facing software products.

Research, design and implement new software products, making use of cutting-edge software technologies and methodologies, while developing and integrating with our existing range of software products and platforms.
